Photography Trip

The Amazon rainforest is one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places to be a photographer. Individuals or small groups interested in nature, landscape, or portrait photography can have a private jungle guide who will customize excursions to a photographer’s pace. This means if you want to wait two hours until the lighting is just right, your guide will do that. Our guides have experience working with photographers and are knowledgeable about the pace and requirements of serious photographers.

Suggested equipment to bring would include a good telephoto lens as much of a rainforest’s life is just under the canopy, as well as a good macro lens to photograph small, beautiful beetles, frogs, toads and orchids. A good tripod is recommended as you will most likely want to be taking some long exposure shots under the milky way. There is no extra cost for a specialized photography itinerary and cost is the same as any of our standard customized itineraries. (Please let us know well in advance if you are interested in a specialized photography itinerary!)

These are just a sample of our more popular options. The 8 day / 7 night Amazon Classic Adventure being our recommended trip. Please remember that our trips are fully customizable which means we will work with you to plan your trip in any way that you want.

We recommend the purchase of travel insurance.

Travel protection should be purchased to cover most penalty costs in the event you need to cancel or change your travel plans.  It also can provide medical and emergency assistance protection.  Amazonia Expeditions does not assume responsibility for problems or losses arising from the operation of flights such as cancellations, delays or lost luggage. If you do not take the recommended flight and arrive late you may have to pay for a chartered private boat to the lodge. For protection against problems with airlines or other problems such as illness or political or natural disasters beyond control of the tour operator we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.

The trip was wonderful! We enjoyed every bit of our stay and tour in Amazonas.

Just wanted to say what an amazing experience staying at the lodge was, I only wish I had stayed longer… I hope I can come back again soon.

It was incredible and a trip of a lifetime Paul! My sister Paula and I had an amazing time and loved everything — your facilities and staff are top notch and I want to come back with my husband and daughters!!
